The party went swimmingly!

One thing we learned in round one of this trip called parenthood it's to keep the 1st birthday party simple. We blew up the swimming pools and a couple of sprinkler toys, invited a couple of friends, made some cupcakes, and sang "Happy Birthday". All the ingredients for fun!

This is probably the most pitiful rendition of Happy Birthday. We all started at a different time, then I forgot where I was, oh for the memories (I almost didn't post this, but it's too funny)


Seth, Daniel, and Courtney enjoyed my cupcakes....

The adults (and Julianna, who at times thinks she's an adult) enjoyed cupcakes.

Then we put the guest of honor down for a nap and had pizza. What she doesn't know never hurt her...right?


On her "real" birthday we let her open presents.





Mom sent money for us to buy Carlee a present. We found this great tunnel at KB Toys. The girls had a blast with it. We also got her a monkey that is all hers; one that Courtney cannot lay claim to. He has become her closest companion.


And then sister confiscated all the toys and hid at the end of the tunnel.....
