The apartment

If you haven't heard...we accepted the base apartment. Yes, it is on the 4th floor. Yes, that stinks worse than a gym full of sweaty boys! However, when we looked at what was available and our time frame, it was 6 one way, half a dozen the other. At least when Damon leaves I won't be responsible for "winter upkeep" and heating oil and such. And it's secure. Shoot, on the 4th floor we can pretty much rule out any break-ins. Who in their right mind would want to haul our stuff 4 floors??? Right!
It's actually spacious; to have the name "apartment" is maybe a little misleading. It's a house, really far from the ground that has no yard...and lots of neighbors really close to you. Yep, that's better. We have just under 1500 sqft. And it's very modern. Our floors are soft marble tile, kind of a light brown/peach color, very pretty. We have 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms...a really big kitchen, walk-in pantry, and a laundry room.

If you know much about German homes, you know that closets are not plentiful. If you know, much about me, you know closets MUST be plentiful!!! Me likes some clothes now!!!

This is our bedroom, the girls aren't as fortunate....I am considering arm wrestling Damon for 3 of the 4 of these!! He wears the same thing everyday....how much room can that take, right??

This is our balcony.....sort of retro, but okay nonetheless!

This is one of our "views".....We have a TON of windows!!

They delivered temporary furniture 2 days after we moved into our apartment (oh, how I could rant about that!!). It's...um...circa 1975, I think. Very floral!! If I get a chance I will post pics for kicks. When they delivered the furniture they brought us chairs but no table (go figure...we got a table later). And what better to do with 4 kitchen chairs than......

make a bus!!!
