A post of pictures.....

We have had many adventures lately.....so many that a post for each would put me under. So here are the brief recounts in pictures!

Many days (when it isn't raining) are spent at the park. There is a park on the way to the store. As a bribe...I mean incentive, I tell the girls we can stop by the park after a good trip to the store....
Some days it's in the mid 60's, the sun is shining, and we dress like this....(notice the sleeveless shirt and flip-flops Courtney is wearing!!)

The next day it'll be in the low 50's, overcast, and windy and we have to dress like this.....either way they have a blast!!!

I am not much of a homebody, and most of our cookware hasn't made it to us just yet, so we have done some eating out......if you know me well, you know I like my creature comforts....
like....
Pizza Hut (sorry about the "see food")

Chili's

and the best of all Mexican food in Germany....God is good!!

We learned that one of the nearby bases has an indoor water park.....
the girls got to wear their matching swimsuits (a little girl in the dressing room said to Courtney "ya'll have to be sisters, ya'll match!" Yes they do and that's how I want it to be kid!!)

Fun was had by all (especially on the HUGE slide that I neglected to get a picture of.....)

that splash is Courtney! And no, this isn't the above referenced slide...the other one required walking up about 2 stories worth of stairs.

To get to the water park we had to drive about an hour.....
Damon got to drive on the Autobahn....and yes, there really are sections that the speed limit is unregulated, the spedometer is in km/h so Damon is doing about 90mph when I took this pic (not 150mph, which is why I clarified. Both grandmas would have his hide!!!)

It really is beautiful scenery....

Carlee wasn't as impressed! But the poor thing did just swim for almost 3 hours!!

This means exit. Bonus points to those who know why I remember that this means exit....it brings about a junior high level of maturity, I know, but it's funny nonetheless!

AND BEST OF ALL..........Our first shipment was DELIVERED FRIDAY!!!!
I made the mistake of telling the men to put the first load on our bed....EVERYTHING was put on our bed.....oh well!

I think Courtney's expression sums up all of our feelings about the arrival of some of our stuff!!

I am really loving following this adventure! I had no idea the military people were so spoiled with all the amenities of home! Seriously? Chilis? That's tough! I'm glad you're getting some of your things now. That will make it feel more like home.

how fun!! i loved seeing all the pictures of your escapades! =) i am glad you have some creature comforts from home to help make the transition a LITTLE easier.... i'm still wondering why damon didn't go any faster on the autobahn when he had the chance?? isn't that every man's (oh heck, or woman's) dream?? i guess he will have to wait til the girls aren't in the car for both grandmas' sakes, huh?? =) so glad you got some of your stuff....now you get to ORGANIZE!!! (you could pay my way over and i would help you....that's my specialty!!!) =) have fun! =)

I think the coolest thing is that even in Germany, you can hear someone say, "Y'all."

Also, I realize I can never live in Germany for the sheer reason that I would go into giggle fits every time we exited the freeway.
